Q: How much does it cost to see the wolves?
A: It is FREE!
Q: How can you have wolves on a campground?
A: The wolves are kept in an USDA approved enclosure. We have a perimeter fence around the main wolf enclosure.
Q: How many wolves do you have?
A:Wolf Pepole Keystone has two wolves.
Q: How do you say the names of you wolves?
A: Akia is A-Key-AH and Wakan Tanka is Wak-kan Tahn-ka (all long "a")
Q:Why do you have wolves?
A:We have Wakan and Akia so the average person can view a wolf up close. While you are watching them we are able to give a short educational lesson. We want to spread the truth about wolves.
Q: Are they your pets?
A: A wolf should not be considered a pet as you would think of a dog being your pet. They are a wild animal and demand a higher respect. Wakan and Akia are both the 7th generation born in captivity to Wolf People in Idaho. They have been around humans from birth. They are acclimanted to being in captivity but that doesn't make them more "doggish". When they smell food they want food, when you ask them to say down they will, after they get their full of attention and not one second before. They are like a family member.
Q: What do the wolves eat?
A: We feed our wolves raw meat, mostly beef and wild game. We feed every 3rd day, about 10 pounds each.
Q: Do you have a breeding couple?
A: No, they have both been "fixed".
Q: Do you ever fear your wolves?
A: We have never felt any fear against our wolves. We bottle fed both of them and they lived in our home untill they were 9 and 11 weeks old. We understand how our wolves behave and can read their body language.
Q: I have another question?
