Wolf People is a group of people dedicated to the education about wolves and wolf hybrids.

Bill and Nancy Taylor founded Wolf People in 1993 in Cocolalla, Idaho.  While on a vacation in the summer of  2002, Jerry and Cindy Swanson saw a sign that read "Wolf People Stop Here." While they walked around and browsed through the beautiful merchandise, they realized they could see a real live wolf. Bill took them outside to meet real 100% wolves, Cryco and Mika.  Jerry and Cindy listened to Bill teach about these incredible creatures and were able to touch them at the same time. Cindy was so excited when they left, she knew if she was to start a new business in the Black Hills, Wolf People would be the style.
When Jerry and Cindy got home from their vacation they offered their daughter, Kelli Braun, a chance of a lifetime. They knew Kelli was a wolf person and told her all about Wolf People Idaho With little hesitation Kelli was on her way to becoming a wolf handler.
In February 2003, Jerry and Cindy along with their daughter, took a second trip to Wolf People Idaho and signed all the papers needed to become Wolf People Keystone. We began our business with no live wolves and on Main Street in Keystone, SD. It took two years to find Black Hills property to make a home for our wolves. In May of 2005 we brought cubs from Bill and Nancy pack home, three week old Wakan Tahnka and one week old Akia, to begin the full experience of Wolf People.
